Governor Greg Abbott ended the mask mandate for the state of Texas on March 2, 2021. This had many Texans shocked and extremely upset.

“I feel like it wasn’t a very smart choice because of the fact that many people have not had access to the vaccine, ” senior America Garcia said.

So far the vaccine has only been given to those with health problems, elders and essential workers.

Although Texas seems to be divided by no longer having masks mandated anymore, many Texas businesses and management have taken it upon themselves to say “it’s our store and we will ask you to wear a mask when working/ buying from us.”

“Employees are still required to wear a mask” said senior Travis Scott. Scott works at an H-E-B in San Antonio.
