Panthers Play During Thanksgiving Break

The Panthers lost their season-long streak against Dripping Springs by 12-25 in the first set, 18-25 in the second set, and 23-25 in the third set. Remaining resolute, they still managed to play an astounding game.


The Varsity volleyball team owned the Bi-District playoffs by demolishing Breckenridge by 25-17, 25-18, and 25-23. Stat leaders include the following: Haylee Hurtado- 7 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 aces; Spencer McCool- 6 kills, 7 digs, and 2 blocks; Essence Cummings- 7 kills; Cat Cochran- 13 assists; Madison Sotelo- 10 assists; Alyssa Thoele- 8 digs; Kyla Solis- 4 blocks; Madison Haby- 2 blocks; Sam Estrada- 2 aces.

Girls Basketball

On November 24, the Panthers conquered the prestigious Somerset Bulldogs by 53-35. Leaders include: Clara Arroyos- 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals; Ileana Morales- 16 points; Katie Burris- 8 points and 5 rebounds; MaKenzee Decock- 10 rebounds. 

On November 25, the girls overpowered the Seguin Matadors by 69-43. Leaders include: Giovanna Ruiz- 13 rebounds and 6 assists; Ileana Morales- 13 points and 7 steals; Clara Arroyos- 11 points and 9 steals; Morgan Henrich- 11 points. Their current season record is 6 wins and 2 losses.

Boys Basketball

On November 21, the boys defeated Somerset by 47-43 with an 18-5 lead after the first quarter. Cristian Romo had 14 points, 4 blocks, and 10 rebounds; Iverson McCray had 11 points.

On November 23, the Panthers lost to the daunting Boerne Greyhounds by 54-46. Christopher Child had 18 points and George Valdez had 12.

JV Boys Basketball

During Thanksgiving break, the Panthers vanquished Somerset by 62-46 with stellar performances by Stanley Johnson and Tanner Vaughn. However, the boys lost to Boerne by 66-55. Despite their loss, they beat Kerrville Tivy by 38-37.

Boys Freshmen Basketball

Also during turkey week, the freshmen gallantly stood their ground against Somerset, Boerne, and Kerrville. Although they lost all three games, their performance was fantastic. Exceptional plays were made by Sebastian Garza, Tristan Jonas, Joel Tovar, and Angel Saucedo.


On November 27, the Varsity team ruthlessly battled the Floresville Tigers, only to lose by 21-9. The Panthers are now 4-5 overall and 2-3 in district. 

    Whether they win or lose, the Panthers never change the amount of effort and passion they put into their sports. Go Panthers!
