Fall back into Spooktober.

Halloween is back in season, and you know what that means. It is time for this season’s fall trends to make their comeback. There are many spooky activities to participate in this Halloween/Fall season, with the return of popular attractions such as Fright Fest or the popular haunted house, The 13th Floor. There is a little something for everyone to enjoy, from staying at home and watching scary movies to hanging out in a group and seeing what the city has in store.

“I usually have band practice after school on Halloween,” senior Sara Guinn said. “Usually I hangout with my friends on a different day.”

Halloween is not the warmest time of the year, making it the perfect time to grab a friend, stay indoors and binge all of those spooky Halloween movies. For those who want more of an adrenaline rush, now is the perfect time to sit down and watch the classics such as Halloween, Friday the 13th and more. For those who want something a little more slow pace, it is the perfect time to grab your favorite Halloween snack and rewatch The Nightmare Before Christmas.

“I take my sister trick or treating in our neighborhood, [and after] I watch scary movies at home and get fat eating candy,” junior Cait Hoglund said. “ My favorite are Kit Kats.”

For the people who find that staying home is not their style, there are always a lot of spooky events going on to partake in. From the classic family corn mazes to large festivals, there is something for everyone. In San Antonio, you can find the popular Fright Fest going on at Six Flags, or try the thrilling 13th Floor Haunted House for a fun night of screams and scares.

“[13th Floor] was fun, the overall experience was worth the $30 it cost to get in,” senior Nickolye Essary said. “Its more fun going with a group of people then to go alone.”

Regardless if you choose to spend your time during the halloween/fall season trick or treating or going to a haunted house, no matter who you are and what you like, there is a way for everyone to have fun. Make sure to get out out there, have fun and have a spooky time.
