The lady Panthers competed in the Rattler Roundup tournament from Thursday, January 10 through Saturday, January 12. They began Thursday against Copperas Cove and were able to start off right with a blowout of a win with a final score of 3-0. Audra Clark led the way with 2 goals and Jordan Faragoza also found the back of the net. Zoe Milecky helped the goals happen with 2 assists. Friday, the Ladies faced off with Magnolia and won 4-0. Zoe Milecky, Lauren Piper, Brianna Peterson, and Audra Clark all scored 1 goal with assists coming from Ellie Smith and Peyten Wanat. “I thought we did pretty good and we worked really great as a team.” senior Peyten Wanat said. Saturday, the ladies started the day winning against Laredo Nixon 4-1. Audra Clark scored 2 goals and Brianna Peterson ,as well as Tori Juarez, both scored 1. Brianna Peterson also had an assist. In the last game of the tournament, the ladies lost a hard-fought game against stormy Point. The final score was 2-1; Audra Clark had the goal with the assist coming from Alee Schott. The ladies finished the tournament with a record of 3-1 and are now 5-2 on the season. They travel to Eagle Pass on Wednesday for their final non-district game before they start district play with Uvalde Friday, January 18 here at Panther Nation.
