Soccer Panthers Pick Up Pace

There were a few games that the soccer boys played over the winter break. The first one was a scrimmage that took place on December 27. It was against Boerne Champion, whom the Panthers lost to by a score of 4-1. The second game was on December 29 against Taft and ended with a tie of 1-1. The final scrimmage was on January 2 against the Medina Valley Alumni team and it ended in a tie 3-3.

Their regular season started on January 3 with an SAISD Tournament. They started off with a 3-3 tie against McCollum. The next game was against Jefferson and the Panthers lost 2-0. The next day, on January 4, the Panthers beat Kipp Academy 2-0.

On January 5, the Panther competed in the Silver Bracket Champion game on Saturday morning. The Panthers were slow in the first half of the game, but eventually got three goals in the second half and won with a final score of 3-2. The Panthers earned the silver Bracket Champion trophy.

Congratulations to the Varsity soccer team for bringing home the Silver Bracket Champion Trophy. their next soccer game January 11 at Harlandale Varsity Tournament. The future seems bright for the Panthers. “I think we are going to win the Superbowl,” senior Clayton Vogel said.
