As the smells of pumpkin spice float away and the smells of pine and cinnamon are ushered in, one thing becomes clear: Christmas is upon us. Christmas traditions vary from family to family, and  Castroville has its own very special tradition, Old- Fashioned Christmas. The festival that brings holiday cheer to Houston Square is infamous amongst Medina and surrounding counties

The event hosted by the Castroville Texas Chamber of Commerce is the largest arts and crafts event in south Texas. With over 250 booths featuring everything from Christmas crafts to jewelry to wood art, the celebration is locally renowned. Live music and hot food are also offered which may be why the event is so popular This year’s music included the Solis Brothers.

The holiday spirit is very present in Castroville and Old-Fashioned Christmas proves it! Very special thanks to the Castroville Texas Chamber of Commerce for hosting the event.
